Addl. Deputy Commissioner & Administrator, Longleng Town Council has issued an order reiterating the Prohibition of Employment of Manual Scavengers for cleaning of severs and septic tanks with immediate effect as per the Prohibition of Employment of Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Rules 2013. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS had informed 22 returnees had reached Tening Sub Division due to COVID- 19 pandemic on 7th July 2020

The returnees included seven females and 15 males, 18 from Chennai, three from Delhi and one from Rajasthan.
