Gregory Thejawelie NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed that in view of some frontline workers being tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Kohima, a mass preventive testing for Covid-19 infection for all the Persons/Workers involved in “Bethel Kitchen” Kohima was carried out compulsorily, and all the results turned out to be COVID NEGATIVE.
SECURITY FORCES COORDINATE WITH STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT IN FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19
The Department of Health and Family Welfare (DHFW) has been at the helm of all affairs pertaining to COVID-19 since its outbreak in the State of Nagaland. As proactive measures the Minister and the Department Officials have established a close coordination with both Civil and Security Forces medical facilities.
DC KOHIMA INFORMS ON MANDATORY COVID TESTS FOR RETURNEES
Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has informed that the returnees entering Kohima District from outside the State should mandatorily get themselves tested for COVID-19 infection as per the various SOPs/guidelines/directives of the Government from time to time.

“As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 535. Out of this, the total active cases are 338, and 197 have recovered. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 338 active cases are asymptomatic.
REPORT ON COVID-19 LOCK DOWN
According to the daily report on Law & Order in the State, two violations of the lock down were reported as on 2nd July. Joint Secretary, Hiazu Meru while issuing the report added that two persons were bound down but maintained that no law and order incident has been reported in the State.
