With a view to contain the spread of COVID-19 and in connection with the detection of positive cases of COVID-19 among those sent for Quarantine at  Mpai (New)  village Community Quarantine Centre & Kezanglwa village Community Quarantine Centre,  ADC Peren, Moa Sangtam on 3rd July declared the aforementioned  locations under Peren Sadar area  as Containment Zones. 

The full text is as follows:

“As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 563. Out of this, the total active cases are 335, and 228 have recovered. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals.

As per the severity of symptoms, all the 335 active cases are asymptomatic.

DC Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has notified and declared that Galaxy Hotel under Kohima Municipal area to be utilized as paid quarantine centre.

The aforementioned hotel will be utilized by the District Task Force Kohima for accommodation of drivers engaged on COVID 19 duty. 

This Order shall come in to force with immediate effect.

District Administration Tuensang has come to the notice that dogs/domesticated animals are venturing into the COVID Hospital Tuensang and rummaging through hospital waste bins and feeding on leftover foods and it posing a threat to public health and safety especially in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Hiazu Meru issued the daily report on Law & Order and Facilitation of Essential Goods & Services in the State for 3rd July. He informed that one violation of the lock down has been reported and as a remedial step, one person has been bound down.  He added that no incident of law & order has been reported in the State.
